Well done to Belle from Grade 2 and Raepan from Grade 5 for last week’s post about what they would do if someone gave them 1 million dollars. Check out their post outside the teacher’s room.
This week we want you to…
Think – Plan – Write
When young students hear the question “What makes you happy?” Many things race through their minds. Try to think and plan before you start writing, maybe narrow your choices down to two or three before you began. It might be a simple activity like playing football with your friends, getting a hug from dad, achieving a goal in school, or sharing a great meal with friends and family. Whatever your choices try to give reasons to support them and feedback on your friends posts.
This is my (Teacher John’s) example:
I am happiest when I spend time with my children. This could be diving, having what we call adventure time or just having fun at the beach playing on the sand. Also, I am happy and content fishing alone beside a lake or pond, thinking about nothing but the fish and breathing fresh air. I love reading a great book in bed with a cup of tea. But, what really makes me happy is helping children and knowing that I may of inspired someone or made them feel important and valued. It’s a great feeling to make others feel important, to listen and help someone. If can do that for others, I am content and happy.
So, what makes you happy?
